Hope Springs (Book Review)

Kim Cash Tate is one of my favorite authors and she never disappoints! I love how all of her stories intertwine and she writes characters that are so easy to relate to! In Hope Springs we encounter three women; Janelle, Stephanie and Becca. They are all on extremely different journeys but all find they are in need of healing and restoration in their lives.

What I love about this book is how it evokes strong emotion and gives extremely realistic circumstances. As with all of Kim Cash Tate's stories, you will put it down feeling as if you knew the characters personally and lived the stories right along with them.

I highly recommend this book and love how it is not only a great story, but also brings such strong spiritual conviction with it!

Smitten Review

Four friends trying to save their small town by turning it into a romantic resort. Sounds a little crazy, but I was excited to dive in and see what this story would look like!

Being a Kristin Billerbeck fan, I was super excited to read Smitten. As usual, Kristin did not disappoint.  I was also equally impressed with Colleen Coble, Diann Hunt & Denise Hunter. I honestly appreciated that the short stories intertwined so well. I felt like none of the authors overshadowed another, but their talent only helped to strengthen the others. They're all very different, but that share common threads in their writing.  I was impressed with how well they work together.

I thought the story line was cute and it was a fun and enjoyable read. Being from a small town, where I watched our furniture industry move overseas, it was kind of a neat experience to think of what it might have been like if someone would have taken our town and drove it in a different direction, rather than it dying, maybe it would have thrived. It was interesting to see the similarities in how people reacted to the idea of a romantic resort verses how people in my own town would react to our focus becoming anything but furniture.

I thought it was well written, fun and an easy read! Four stars from me.
